MAINTENANCE

Why vehicle maintenance is important

As we all know, spending your hard earned money on maintenance for your car or truck can be a hard thing to swallow when everything seems to be working just fine. Believe me when I tell you that proper maintenance and preventative services can add years to the life of your automobile. Extreme temperatures, mileage, age, and just plain wear and tear can begin to break down the vital fluids leaving you vulnerable to expensive repairs later. And those same factors can cause other NON FLUID RELATED parts of your automobile to fail as well.

PREVENTATIVE Maintenance

FLUID CHECK

Fluids need to be checked for leaks and if there is sufficient fluid or if more needs to be added, these fluids include antifreeze, power steering, coolant, and wiper fluid.

TIRES

Tire pressure should be checked regularly as well as alignment, tires should also be balanced and rotated occasionally. These are all important to ensure you never get caught out on the side of the road needing a tow.

BELTS

Generally, timing belts should be inspected every 60,000 miles and serpentine belts every 40,000. Waiting could result in damage to other parts of the car and the car breaking down.
