Fluids need to be checked for leaks and if there is sufficient fluid or if more needs to be added, these fluids include antifreeze, power steering, coolant, and wiper fluid.


Tire pressure should be checked regularly as well as alignment, tires should also be balanced and rotated occasionally. These are all important to ensure you never get caught out on the side of the road needing a tow.


Generally, timing belts should be inspected every 60,000 miles and serpentine belts every 40,000. Waiting could result in damage to other parts of the car and the car breaking down.
